January Favorites!

Hello everyone! Happy First of February! How did your first month of 2013 go? Are you still on your resolutions? I wish you all the best, I encourage you all to set goals for yourselves and achieve them throughout the year. Anyway, lets get to the favourites! As well as makeup, there will be a lot of randoms in here, like favourite music, foods and hobbies! These are just some I like to share with you all :)

MAKEUP:

Mac Power Blush - Prism
I don't really like wearing blush that much but I recently bought Prism and I have been loving it! It's a very nice nude and looks very natural on my skin. There is a matte finish and I like how it doesn't make my skin look oily, but I naturally gravitate towards matte colors during the colder months. I bought this on a recent road trip of mine, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was $5 cheaper than what I pay for back home.

R-Sally Hansen Salon Nail Lacquer-Lights on Broadway
L-Sally Hansen Diamond Strength-Brilliant Blush

Alright, guys. I have to admit I typically don't wear Sally Hansen a lot. I think most of their products are simply rubbish and bad quality. But one day I borrowed a Salon Nail Lacquer from my friend for 2 reasons: I liked the color and I was intrigued because I've never seen that line before. When I applied the lacquer it felt very similar to the Essie polishes. It has a very watery texture to it so it's easy to apply. It gives off a warm silvery tone but I added the Brilliant Blush as a top coat for a light rosy finish. I absolutely love these two polishes together! The look is very subtle and you don't need to apply it perfectly! (Great for us lazy people!)

FASHION:
I have been wearing many grunge outfits lately; red/black pantyhose with an over-sized sweater or graphic tee, usually paired with vans. I've been LOVING all my tshirts from Orange Circle. I have 2 of them: the cosmic lion and the swallow one.

MUSIC:
Mariah Carey-Emotions
Inner Ninja-David Myles ft. Classified
Home- Michael Buble

RANDOM:
ZOELLA/SAM PEPPER/MARCUSBUTLER/CASPAR/ALFIE/LOUIS/JACK&FINN

I am in loooooooove with these youtubers! They're from the UK and they're all friends so they collaborate a lot and it's just so fun watching all of them. I could listen to their accents all day it's crazy! Just click on their names to hop over to their channels :)

PHEW! That was a lot of favourites, I hoped you enjoyed this entry I hope you guys had a lovely January and have an even more lovely February :)
Take care,
x v

DIY | Cheap & Easy Wall Art!

Hello there, lovelies!
I've recently done some winter cleaning and discovered that the walls in my bedroom were looking bare! I saw this idea on Pinterest and I absolutely loved the look and simplicity. I bought the frame from Ikea and the paint is from Home Depot. I made the whole thing for under $15! It's a great way to fill up a naked-looking wall.

STEP 1:
Grab a colorful array of sample paint chips from your local hardware store and just cut them into triangles.
STEP 2:
Arrange them in a tessellation and place in any picture frame. Voila! You're finished.

I know this didn't require much explanation but you never know who might need it.
Take care,
x v

Review | LUSH BB Seaweed Face Mask

I've developed a recent fascination over the past couple weeks about these Lush Fresh Face Masks. Any Lush purchase of mine is made with much courage and I put a lot of thought into buying this. I've been wanting to try these for several weeks and I eventually decided to spend $7.61 and get the BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask. I have quite sensitive skin, and the Lush lady recommended I get this. The seaweed is supposed to be a very gentle cleanser for all skin types, so you can't go wrong with this!

The product isn't smooth, when I applied the mask there were a lot of clumps but not in a bad way. I am actually for rustic and natural beauty products so it didn't bother me that much. Normally you let it sit on your face for 10-15 minutes but I like to savor my Lush products so I usually have to take mine off after 5. Just rinse off, and after apply toner and moisturize. I was delightfully surprised at how soft my skin was; I don't think I would notice much of a change because my skin is pretty smooth already but WOW ! I was impressed.
